MoGro is a nonprofit mobile grocery project committed to providing healthy food that people can depend on. Each week we work with local farmers, producers, and suppliers and pack bags of fresh, healthy, mostly local fruits, veggies and value-added grocery items. We deliver our bags to our community partners that work with our community in hospitals, clinics, schools and community centers.
MoGro began in 2013 to increase food access in rural and tribal communities, and we have steadily grown to meet the increasing need.

Food Access
Food access is harder for everyone right now. It’s even harder for those who already met challenges getting fresh, healthy food to their family.
Between 2019 and 2022, MoGro doubled the amount of fresh fruits and veggies going into families' homes. We have shown our ability to thrive amidst some of the greatest challengers in the fight against food insecurity. With your help, we are set up to double the amount of produce again in 2023!
Here's What We've Done With Your Help
This year, MoGro has served more families with 27,500 bags of healthy fresh vegetables and 82,200 people eating healthier.
15% of the total population of New Mexico is food insecure and pre-pandemic childhood food insecurity rates were 35% above national levels. New Mexico has the second highest child food insecurity rate state by state.
Every week, MoGro delivers bags of fresh friends and vegetables to community partners. One of our long-term partners is Presbyterian Community Health, where we work with 2 programs at clinics in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Española to provide more than 300 bags weekly. With your continued support, we can increase to 400 bags in 2023!
A participant in Presbyterian's Northern Roots program said, "We loved all the fruits and vegetables. It exposed my daughter to healthier foods. We took some of the seeds from the fruits and veggies and are starting a garden."
Partnerships with families, farmers, and community programs are what make this work possible. We are partnered with 11 community organizations, 11 Pueblo communities, 4 healthcare institutions, and 3 schools across New Mexico.

In 2022, we contributed to increased revenue for local farmers. MoGro distributed 88,000 pounds of small-scale locally-grown produce. This included $257,500 in regular purchasing with at least two dozen local farms and producers.
Food insecurity isn't slowing down and neither is MoGro. Individual contributions are making this all possible. Please consider donating to help us bring fresh, healthy foods to more New Mexicans.
