MoGro is a nonprofit mobile grocery committed to providing healthy food that people can depend on. Each week we work with local farmers, producers, and suppliers and pack bags of fresh, healthy, mostly local fruits, veggies and value-added grocery items. We deliver our bags to partner organizations that work with our community in hospitals, clinics, schools and community centers.
MoGro began in 2012 to increase food access in rural and tribal communities, and we have steadily grown to meet the increasing need.

Food Access
Food access is harder for everyone right now. It’s even harder for those who already met challenges getting fresh, healthy food to their family. 15% of the total population of New Mexico is food insecure and pre-pandemic childhood food insecurity rates were 35% above national levels. New Mexico has the second highest child food insecurity rate state by state.
In 2023 MoGro served more families with 25, 825 bags of healthy, fresh, and local food. Each week of 2023, MoGro delivered bags of fresh fruits and vegetables to community partners. One of our long-term partners is Presbyterian Community Health, where we work with 3 programs at clinics in Albuquerque, Socorro, Santa Fe, and Española to provide more than 400 bags per week to their patients facing food and nutritional insecurity. A participant in Presbyterian's Northern Roots program said, "We loved all the fruits and vegetables. It exposed my daughter to healthier foods. We took some of the seeds from the fruits and veggies and are starting a garden."
Partnerships with families, farmers, and community programs are what make this work possible. We are partnered with 15 community organizations, 11 Pueblo communities, 4 healthcare institutions, and 3 schools across New Mexico.
In 2023, we contributed to increased revenue for local farmers. MoGro distributed 85,000 pounds of small-scale locally-grown produce. This included $210,000 in regular purchasing with at least two dozen local farms and producers.
Food insecurity isn't slowing down and neither is MoGro. Individual contributions are making this all possible. Please consider donating to help us bring fresh, healthy foods to more New Mexicans.
